Yet another unknown PC port of a well-known PlayStation/Saturn game. This is the second game in Taito’s “Ray” shoot ’em up series, and at least to me, the best one. It plays like a 2d shooter but it relies on locking on to targets that are under you since it is in 3d. Again I’ve made a special release that uses the _inmm program to bypass the missing music problem or the mounting of a 700mb cd for a 60mb game that some other releases online have. This release has all the music, is small in size and no image mounting. Enjoy one of the best shmups of the 90’s!!! 😀

How to Play:

1) Extract the folder “Raystorm” from the “RSTRM.rar” file and put it wherever you want since this game doesn’t install you just extract and run.
2) Then install the “_inmm238.exe” program on your PC…It doesn’t matter where, but it is important to have it installed on your PC.
3) Most important part now! Open the “_inmm.ini” file in the “Raystorm” folder, with a notepad and edit the path to where your MP3 tracks are (and where your extracted game is), for EACH of the 19 track files. For example, my path to the first two files is:

D:IgriceRaystormMP3Track02.mp3
D:IgriceRaystormMP3Track03.mp3

and if your game is extracted in the regular “Program Files” folder on the C: partition you will have to change the lines in “_inmm.ini” file like this:

C:Program FilesRaystormMP3Track02.mp3
C:Program FilesRaystormMP3Track03.mp3

Don’t forget to change the path for all of the 19 mp3 files and save the “_inmm.ini” file after you finish!!! If you don’t do that, the game won’t recognize the rest of the mp3 music files and you will play the game in silence.

4) If you want to configure the controls (and enable gamepad) start the Configurater.exe file and then start the game from Raystorm.exe file.
5) Enjoy this awesome shmup on your PC!
